Certifications
Proteck Metalics is certified to internationally recognised standards covering quality, automotive manufacturing, railway manufacturing, environmental management and occupational health & safety.
In addition, our sustainability performance has been recognised with an EcoVadis Gold Medal.
IRIS Certification®
Railway & Rolling Stock
Our IRIS Certification® covers the Rolling Stock business category, with product scope covering Mechanical and Components.
The certified activities include:
- Production and service provision
- Control of externally provided processes, products and services
- Project management
- Requirements for products and services
Our certified product scope includes sheet metal cutting and fabricated stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium components for applications including cross members, side walls, end walls, upper cap structures, side panels, side seals, driver cab assemblies, lower support assemblies and cable trays.
EN 15085-2:2020+A1:2023 — CL1
Railway Welding Certification
Proteck Metalics is certified to EN 15085-2 Classification Level CL1 for the welding of railway vehicles and components.
The certification covers the new build of rail vehicles and their components, including:
- Assemblies and brackets
- Bogie parts
- Underframes
- Supports and seat sub-assemblies
- Cross members
- Driving cab equipment
- Ladder assemblies
Valid until: 11 December 2028
IATF 16949:2016
Automotive Quality Management
Our IATF 16949 certification covers the manufacture of sheet metal components for automotive applications.
The certified scope is for manufacture without product design as per Chapter 8.3.

ISO 45001:2018
Occupational Health & Safety Management System
Our ISO 45001:2018 certification supports our commitment to maintaining a structured occupational health and safety management system across our manufacturing operations.
